We are announcing the next set of Advanced Barbell Prep course dates. Our last course was a hit! Attendees left the program with a solid understanding of the olympic lifts and are now able to take that knowledge and put it to practice on their own. We’ve had many requests for anther round of the class so here are the dates and times for our upcoming sessions. This session will be taught by Coach Ryan Johnson. He has been coaching CrossFit, Powerlifting and Olympic lifting for a few years prior to joining Mission, and has been working with Coach Drew while coaching the Mission Sport program for last year. He is ready to help you become better at your olympic lifts!
This course will be four weeks long (8 sessions) meeting twice a week. The focus will be on the olympic lifts (Snatch, Clean and Jerk) and their derivatives. Other accessory lifts such as squatting, pressing and deadlifting will also be addressed. You will be video taped on Day 1 and Day 8 performing the Snatch and Clean & Jerk, which will then be analyzed. Between those days, you will be drilled on technique, movement patterns and how to be more efficient. When you walk out on Day 8, you will have a very strong understanding of how to become better at your olympic lifts. These methods and techniques can be utilized in classes to make your workouts easier, or help you achieve a new personal record.
