Background

Born and raised in Austin (Hook ‘em Horns!), I grew up playing every sport you can imagine. I loved the variety and not focusing on just one and ultimately this made me a better all around coach for my career. I have been teaching special education/coaching for 13 years (7 in Middle School, 2 at UTSA, and 2 in Elementary) and have loved every minute of it. I’ve known what I wanted to do since I was in middle school.

In 2009, I was diagnosed prediabetic and knew something needed to change. With diabetes running strong in my family, I had to work to beat my genes! I started crossfitting in December of 2009. Soon after, I began the Paleo diet and within the first year I was down 30lbs and haven’t turned back. I have continued to train for the last 10 years— either in a box or in my own garage.

In 2015, I met and fell in love with the best person I have ever met. Angela makes me a better person and is constantly challenging me to grow into a better version of myself. She also brought two wonderful kids into my life. Adam just finished his Freshman year at UT Austin, (Hook ‘Em!), and Abby will be a Sophomore Brahmadora Varsity Dance Team Member at MacArthur High School next school year.  We are proud Dance Moms!

I have lived about a mile away from Mission Crossfit for the past 3 years and could not be more excited to be a part of the team. Together we can all be UNSTOPPABLE!
