I got an email from one of our own athletes yesterday telling me how I have helped change her life.  It was an amazing, out of the blue comment to receive.  I do this for those reasons and more. I want to help make a difference in your life in one way or another. Hearing your responses on how your life has changed for the better makes everything I do worth while.  Just one person, that’s all it takes.
It sounds silly, yes I know, but CrossFit changed my life completely.  I was in a hole, a rut, whatever you want to call it before I opened this place up not knowing what I wanted to do with my life and falling into a repetitive daily life.  That wasn’t me and I wasn’t doing what I loved.  Yes, I loved CrossFit, competed in it, and trained on my own, but I couldn’t really share that with other people yet.  I hadn’t figured out how to do it.  So, when my grandmother passed away about a year ago, she left my brother and I a small inheritance to do what we wanted with.  I mulled this over for a while and decided that I wanted to invest in myself and what I truly believed in rather than put it in the bank or trust someone else with it.  So, I opened my box.  I spent every free minute I had outside of my work schedule preparing this place from the ground up with some help from friends.  It was a painful, scary, difficult process, but I look at where it got me and how I can give back to all of you and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.  Looking back on what I did before I opened this box up, it’s crazy to think where I would be had I not done what I did.  I invested not only my own money, but my own blood and sweat into this place and I did it so that other people could have the same fulfilment that I have experienced.  CrossFit did indeed change my life, I hope that it has done the same for you. Thank you for the email, it said exactly what I was hoping to achieve.
