Louie Simmons (West Side Barbell), Greg Glassman (CrossFit Founder) and Dr. Nicholas Romonav have been continuously having discussions about training methods and what works and what doesn’t on the CrossFit Journal webpage over the past few months.  Today posted another video where all 3 fitness guru’s come to an agreement on why CrossFit training is so effective for anaerobic exercise.

“Toward the end of the discussion, the coaches reach a consensus that helps explain why CrossFit athletes can be good at long-distance tasks without doing a lot of aerobic training: dramatic improvements in anaerobic efficiency and capacity have profound effects on the requirements placed on the aerobic system.”

So, with that being said, why so people still feel that to increase their Cardio espiratory Endurance they need to run longer distances more often.  These three men, beg to differ.
